Designed for enthusiasts who prefer to craft their own electronics and drivetrain setups, the Vertex 10 Wide Slider delivers the same advanced geometry, carbon‑fiber construction, and high‑stability performance as the Vertex 10 Wide RTR—now offered as a pure chassis for custom builds.

Constructed around a durable 3 mm carbon‑fiber ladder frame, the Vertex‑10 Slider ensures long‑lasting structural integrity while remaining lightweight. Carbon‑fiber chassis rails, rear shock towers, transmission end plates, and behind‑the‑axle servo mounts form a rigid foundation for precision crawling. Heavy‑duty portal axles feature a 3:1 gear ratio, high‑position hypoid‑cut ring and pinion gears, and weighted metal front portal boxes for improved traction and balance. Steel front axle tube inserts and aluminum rear inserts optimize weight bias, while the drivetrain’s 32 percent total overdrive provides sharp steering response and confident front‑end pull.

Steering performance is refined through double‑CV joints that enable smooth articulation at extreme angles and high‑steer axles offering a full 58 degrees of steering range. Suspension duties are handled by oil‑filled air‑emulsion shocks with aluminum bodies, delivering consistent damping and terrain adaptability. Splined metal driveshafts maintain a solid connection under load, with angled ends that slide easily over obstacles. Tapered links and high‑clearance rear links ensure smooth suspension transitions and maximum articulation.

The Vertex 10 Wide Slider expands the Vertex platform with a 228 mm hex‑to‑hex stance and a 330 mm wheelbase, delivering exceptional stability on steep climbs, loose rock, and off‑camber terrain.

Air emulsion‑style shocks with aluminum bodies and 40 wt oil provide smooth, predictable suspension response. Tuned spring rates (0.17 N/mm front, 0.2 N/mm rear) support the broader stance, ensuring balanced articulation and control.

The Vertex 10 Wide Slider arrives fully assembled as a 1:10‑scale chassis with an unpainted cab‑only body and decals included. Builders can install their preferred electronics and drivetrain components to complete the setup. Required parts include an outrunner‑style motor (36 mm diameter, 31 mm max length),ESC, transmitter and receiver, steering servo (25T, 20–24 mm servo horn included),wheels and tires (5.25 × 2.2 in recommended),vehicle battery, and charger compatible with the chosen battery type. The maximum battery box size is 24 × 27 × 60 mm.
